J.W. Dyer
Practice Areas & Expertise
Mr. Dyer has many years of experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in matters involving construction law, commercial/business litigation, environmental and toxic tort issues, and water law issues. Mr. Dyer is also a Registered Public Land Surveyor and Registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Dyer is licensed in all state courts in the State of Texas, as well as in the Federal Courts in the Fifth & Fourth Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Dyer is also a certified mediator.
Community Involvement
Mr. Dyer is active in the community as adult leader for the Boy Scouts of America and has been awarded the Order of the Arrow, Vigil Honor. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Dyer also is a frequent lecturer for continuing legal education seminars on construction, mechanic's and materialman's liens, surveying, and water law matters.

Brian Hansen
Brian Hansen, the newest member of Dyer & Associates, is a native son of The Rio Grande Valley, who was raised in McAllen and graduated from McAllen Memorial High School. With deep ties to the Valley, Mr. Hansen brings varied practical and research skills to the litigation practice.
Experience
Mr. Hansen graduated from the University of Texas-Austin and the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. While in Indiana, he served as a law clerk for the Monroe County Circuit Court and in the Community Legal Clinic of Bloomington. Mr. Hansen also practiced three years in Tampa, Florida, where he tried over twenty serious criminal cases in front of juries.
